A Leeds United perspective on Saturday’s game up at Elland Road

Vital Leeds United editor Dazza71 joins us today to help preview Saturday`s clash with his beloved Whites at Elland Road…

Hopes, fears & expectations for the season?

I`m Not that hopeful under the current regime of Ken Bates. We desperately need new players and we are not going to get them whilst he is still at the club.

How has Neil Warnock done so far?

With what he has at his disposal, he has done ok. We are three or four players away from being capable of challenging for the top six. As it stands, I think we are an average mid-table side.

Without trying to get you on the wrong side of the litigious Mr Bates, will the takeover ever be completed?

I can understand why it is taking so long. I would want to check and double check everything before buying something from him.

Who will be the key man for you on Saturday?

El Hadji Diouf – He is the one bright spark we have in the side.

One player you’d drive to his next club?

Paul Rachubka – I still can`t believe he is at the club taking a wage for doing nothing.

One Watford player you’d poach?

I have to be honest; I could not name one of your players this season after the takeover this summer.

Any injury concerns ahead of Saturday?

We have quite a few carrying knocks. Lee Peltier and Michael Tonge continue to play through the pain. Tom Lees is missing the midweek Burnley game with an eye injury. We are still missing last season`s leading goalscorer Ross McCormack, although he is closing in on a return.

Match Prediction?

1-1 – We like drawing.

Cheers, Dazza. Not knowing any of our players is becoming increasingly popular amongst opposing fans (and our own!)
