Claims on ClubCall, apparently coming from reports in Greece and Italy, say Watford striker Stefano Okaka could be on his way to Olympiakos.

Okaka, limited to 18 games since he signed for Watford from Anderlecht in 2016, has shown flashes of what he can do but the ex-Sampdoria forward could be one of those new boss Marco Silva allows to move on this summer as he builds his own Hornets side.

Funnily enough Okaka, 27, could end up in Greece in place of Dynamo Kiev’s Dieumerci Mbokani, a player Silva had on loan at Hull last season. A deal for Mbokani fell through after he failed to pass a medical this week.

As Okaka, potentially, takes his leave of Watford a deal for Derby’s Will Hughes has moved closer, reports Sky Sports.

Watford, personal terms have been agreed in principle, will pay Derby an initial £4.5m for Hughes, rising to £7m.

Provided Hughes, 22, comes through his Watford medical he’ll become a Hornets player once the European Championship finals have finished, England U21s have a chance to book a semi-final place this evening when facing hosts Poland.
