Piero Mingoia’s loan spell at Accrington Stanley has been extended until the New Year.

The attacking midfielder, who turns 21 tomorrow, will remain with Paul Cook’s League Two outfit until January 18.

Mingoia initially linked up with Stanley on a one-month loan, with fellow midfielder Matty Whichelow also moving to the Crown Ground with him.

The Enfield-born midfielder has clearly impressed during his five appearances, and has scored one goal for the club.

Speaking to Accrington Stanely’s official site, Mingoia revealed his happiness at extending the loan:

‘At Watford the places were very limited but here I’ve had a taste of first team football and I want to get as much of it as I can,’ he conceded.

‘I’ve rarely played Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday so hopefully I can stay in the team and get as many games as I can. In the next few weeks there are about seven games so there are lots of opportunities coming up.’

Good luck Piero!
