Watford have bolstered their striking options with the capture of Fulham forward Marcello Trotta on a one-month youth loan.

Trotta had been a target for Seam Dyche since the departure of top-scorer Marvin Sordell in January.

Nineteen year-old Trotta was on loan at neighbours Wycombe Wanderers earlier in the season and was hugely impressive. The Chairboys true to extend his loan deal but the Whites wanted him to move up the Football League ladder.

Formerly of Napoli, Trotta has represented Italy at U16, U17 and U19 levels to date.

Following his eight in eight for Wycombe, Trotta made Martin Jol’s squad for the F.A Cup tie with Everton, coming off the bench late on to make his debut for the West London outfit.

Trotta will wear the number 20 jersey for the Hornets.

Welcome to Watford Marcello!
