Watford’s backup goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin has today moved out on-loan, joining League Two high-fliers Crawley Town.

The big Irishman will spend the next month with Steve Evans’ side who are without regular No.1 Scott Shearer due to injury.

Crawley have seven games in the next forthcoming month including a prestigious F.A Cup tie against Stoke City. Gilmartin is not cup-tied so will be able to feature should be be selected.

The former Walsall stopper spent time on-loan with League One Yeovil Town earlier in the season, playing eight times for the Glovers under Terry Skiverton.
