Watford have been handed a boost ahead of tomorrow’s F.A Cup tie with the news that Sunderland have allowed Nyron Nosworthy to play.

The giant centre-half has been a mainstay at the heart of the Hornet’s defence since arriving on loan in November.

However, it was not agreed at the time of the loan move whether the former Gillingham defender would be allowed to feature for the ‘Orns in the F.A Cup.

Martin O’Neill this afternoon decreed that the Brixton-born defender would be allowed to finish his loan spell against the Bantams.

Speaking to The Official Site, Sean Dyche said:

‘It’s very welcome news and we’re grateful to Martin O’Neill.

‘Nyron has been training with us all week in the hope this might have turned out to be the case.’

Nosworthy’s loan spell officially finishes on Sunday January 8.
