Watford midfielder Sean Murray has been nominated for the Republic of Ireland`s Under 21 Player of the Year award.

Murray is up against Everton defender Shane Duffy, who is on loan at Yeovil, and Millwall`s Aiden O’Brien, currently on loan at Torquay, for the award.

This award has previously been won by players such as Seamus Coleman, Robbie Brady and Kevin Doyle.

Murray has played for the Irish setup for the Under-17s, 19s and 21s with a combined 20 games for all three age groups, with eight of these coming at Under-21 level, including one goal which came on his debut against Italy in 2012.

The youngster has been in fine form for the Hornets this season with six goals in 30 appearances from the centre of midfield.

Good luck, Sean!
