Watford could make a surprise move for in-demand, MK Dons hotshot, Izale McLeod as they strive to add more firepower to his front line.

The ‘Good Ship Boothroyd’ has already highlighted his desire to add another striker to his squad but has become ever more frustrated having missed out with £2m+ bids for DJ Campbell and Heider Helguson.

And with Darius Henderson now being suited by both Sheffield Wednesday and Preston with a view to £1.3m move, McLeod’s pace, power and goal record could further tempt the Watford supremo to shuffle his pack.

Charlton and Leicester also remain on red alert after MK Dons Paul Ince completed the signing of striker Drew Broughton from Peterborough making McLeod’s departure somewhat inevitable.

Ince told MK News ‘The next move is a big one for Izale and he needs to make sure it is the right one’.
