New Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri has been speaking briefly after his move to the club this summer, and also his thoughts on being recognised for his achievements at Napoli that saw him recently pick up the Dino Celentano award.

The 54 year old picked up the award an a Football Leader event in Amalfi, Italy, and it was named after former Napoli executive Celentano.

In quotes carried by the Official Site he explained.

‘I thank all the clubs that followed me. This opportunity came up and I took it. Me and the club are on the same wavelength. Will I miss Italy? What I’m feeling right now is enthusiasm to start this new adventure with Watford. I’d like to thank the club for seeking me out. This opportunity arose and I chose the project. The club is in line with my idea of football. Going to the most important league in the world is fantastic, as I rediscovered my motivation and enthusiasm.’

During his time at Napoli he led them to a second place finish in Serie A, and also their first Coppa Italia success in 25 years.
