Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri has now met with the press to give his thoughts ahead of the clash against Everton.

Watford make the trip to Goodison Park to face Ronald Koeman’s side on Friday evening and it’s still mixed news on an injury front for the side.

We will again be without Miguel Britos and Craig Cathcart for the tie, but Jose Holebas can come back into his thoughts.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media for his pre game press conference Mazzarri spoke about the injury situation.

With Cathcart not featuring since the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur with a knee problem and Britos limping out during the first half of the Liverpool tie with a calf injury, Mazzarri explained.

‘Neither are available.’

As for Holebas though, who has missed the last two games with a foot problem, he’s back in contention insofar as at least making the trip but he will be assessed late on.

‘He will travel with the team and we will see later if he will be on the bench or will play. We will decide everything tomorrow.’

Tom Cleverley is also out of the game as despite his permanent move being triggered for the summer, the loan deal takes precedence and he’s ineligible to face his current parent club.

‘He’s been a very good player and we will miss him tomorrow but the positive is he will be fresh against Chelsea.’

Cleverley being out does mean that Valon Behrami could start for the first time since the Crystal Palace clash last March.

‘There is no competition in the case of Behrami and Doucoure as they are two players that can play together. They have different characteristics.’
