The Football Association have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Burton Albion this Saturday.

Watford host Burton Albion on Saturday January 7 for the FA Cup Third Round tie at Vicarage Road and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Lee Mason
Linesmen: Richard West and Ian Cooper
Fourth Official: Tim Robinson

Match Day referee Mason has officiated 12 games in 2016/17 with a return of 48 yellow cards and two red cards.

His highest card count this season was eight yellows in the game between Leicester City and Middlesbrough in November. He also showed seven yellows and one red in the game between Manchester City and Burnley.

He took in 34 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 96 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Derby and Sheffield Wednesday in April with a total of nine yellows being shown. The Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough game in September saw eight yellows.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
