After some ‘interesting’ refereeing involving Watford recently, we take a look at Andy Davies, who has been appointed referee of Tuesday night’s clash against Rotherham, by bringing back the ‘Man In The Middle’ feature column.

Davies, from Lancashire, has been refereeing Football League fixtures since 2012, and has took charge of twenty-two games this season, six of them in the Championship.

This will be the first Watford game that Davies has refereed.

He has issued seventy-six yellow cards in the twenty-two games this season, and dismissed five.

Only one fixture out of the twenty-two Davies hasn’t shown a yellow, and only two where he has shown a maximum of one.

Davies’ last game to patrol was the Sky Bet League One clash between Colchester United and MK Dons, where he sent three players into the book.
