Pint sized Watford winger Wheezy Anthony McNamee has become Swindon Town boss’ Maurice Malpas’ first signing after a transfer embargo was lifted at the County Ground.

Left sided trickster McNamee, who has been picked up for an undisclosed fee, has been carted out on loan to Barnet and Crewe under Aidy Boothroyd`s reign and has finally been released by the Watford boss.

McNamee made 42 starts for the Hornets after being given his debut by Gianluca Vialli but whilst he has a bag of fast footed tricks right out of the ‘showboating school of wingplay` he has failed to really blossom into a player that could hold down a first team place at Vicarage Road.

The 23 year old 5ft6 wideman will be remembered for his overhead kick that gave Watford a priceless win over West Ham in last years FA Cup run.

Here at VitalWatford we wish Anthony well and hope that the Robins regime can get him to finally open his wings and be more than just ‘potential`.

Just have his asthma inhaler handy to get him through 90 minutes.
