News on how Hornets out on loan did this weekend…

It was another week of ups and downs for various Hornets out on loan in the Football League at the weekend.

Joe Garner played another 90 minutes for Carlisle in their 2-1 defeat at Brentford. Garner managed to notch his seventh in 12 games for Carlisle but did see a late penalty saved by Brentford keeper Simon Moore which denied them a point.

Carl Dickinson had a dissapointing afternoon at his loan side Portsmouth as the managerless club went down 2-0 to relegation threatened Bury at Gigg Lane. Although he played the 90 minutes Dickinson was cautioned for a challenged that resulted in the penalty for Bury’s second goal.

Britt Assombalonga played 86 minutes for Southend Utd on Saturday as they drew 0-0 with second place Port Vale. After scoring 9 in his first 14 games for the Essex club, Britt has now gone 5 games without a goal.

Craig Forsyth also managed 90 minutes for his loan side Bradford City. The Bantams won 2-0 at bottom side Aldershot to move up to fourth in the League Two table, just one spot off an automatic place.

Matt Whichelow and Piero Mingoia did not feature for Accrington Stanley as they went down 4-2 at home to Northampton Town, managed by former Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd.
