WE TOLD YOU SO…VITALWATFORD EXCLUSIVELY REVEALED LOACH WOULD BE HEADING HOME…and it happened.

Watford goalie Scott Loach could see his days on loan at Morecambe numbered – despite a string of fine showing and rave reviews – after the Shrimps signed Posh keeper Shwan Jalal on a season loan deal.

Loach joined Sammy McIlroy`s playoff chasing side for a month with a view to a longer loan period but the Morecambe manager picked up Iraqie stopper Jalal from Peterborough yesterday insisting he wanted ‘some stability in the goalkeeping department’.

The 19-year old Watford keeper put in a man of the match display and penalty save in only his second league start against Macclesfield but it seems his time at Christie Park will be shortlived.

McIlroy told The Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen “I am delighted to have Shwan [Jalal] here until the end of the season? Joe Lewis and Scott Loach have been superb for us but I need to make sure I had someone here for a guaranteed period.’

It will be interesting to see who’s named between the sticks for the Shrimps clash with Dagenham tomorrow.
