Following a second leg play off draw against Romania, Stuart Pearce’s England will be at the U21 Euro 2011 Championship’s next Summer in Denmark.

England won 2-1 at Carrow Road last week and a 0-0 draw in Romania this aftrnoon was enough to see England’s young lions qualify for the Championships.

Hornet’s stopper Scott Loach was an unused sub as Blackburn’s Frank Fielding was once again preferred having deputised for Loach whilst on full England duty.

Four more familiar names to Watford fans were involved in the squad, last years Player of the Season, Tom Cleverley started and was booked, as did another former loanee Danny Rose who was replaced by yet another in Jack Cork. Arsenal youngster Henri Lansbury started on the bench along with Cork.

Young Stephen McGinn’s Scotland were not so lucky, losing 2-1 at home to Iceland U21’s in the Play-offs also, meaning they will not be going to Denmark next Summer after losing out 4-2 on aggregate. McGinn played 81 minutes for the Scot’s but saw fellow Championship midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson do the damage for the visitors.

Tonight former Hornet’s favourite Ashley Young will hope to be involved with the full side in their Euro 2012 Qualifier at home to Montenegro after receiving a rare call-up.
