Dundee United boss Craig Levein has reportedly turned down the offer of the Watford manager`s job, well according to the Sunday Mail anyway.

The former Leicester and Hearts boss is supposedly to have dismissed enquiries from the ever so forward but incredibly cash-strapped Hornets board as they seek a replacement to fill Aidy Boothroyd`s boots in the hotseat.

And the MailSport reckon the Hornets “identified Levein as one of their key targets” but received “no encouragement”.

Levein, who has also had spells as the gaffer of Cowdenbeath and Raith Rovers, was axed from his last Championship job at the Walkers Stadium after masterminding the Foxes to just 20 wins in 72 games.
