Watford are rumoured to be preparing a £200K summer swoop for highly rated Port Vale defender Lee Collins – (and thankfully not that annoying long-haired beardy Bristolian fool off the TV).
According to the dog eared sports hacks at both The Mirror and also the high brow journos from The Guardian (ooo get them), the Hornets are keen to snap up the versatile Vale 21-year old before the big boys start sniffing about.
Collins, who left Wolves without playing a game for the ol` Gold & Black, is well fancied to pick up the Player of the Year award at Vale Park this season and appears to be a bit of a fans favourite – some over optimistic Vale-ites suggesting he should command a much higher fee – with one fans forum regular even commenting “Watford can stuff their £200,000 up the[ir] rear end”.
