Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic, has said the belief from his players is really growing after an emphatic 1-0 away win over Reading.

That Almen Abdi strike against the Royals bagged all three points for the ten man Hornets at the Madejski, after Angella’s questionable sending off. and the Serb has identified the belief around the place is rising after recording three back to back wins.

‘I see the belief really growing within the team and within the supporters too,’ he told the official club site.

‘In different ways, we have won the last three matches and each of these three points makes me pleased for a number of reasons.’

Slavisa was full of praise to over 2,500 travelling supporters who saw their team win in great style, and were in fine voice all game to back the Hornets to victory.

‘I must say a massive thank you to for the fans’ action today.’

He added, ‘They could see the team was suffering with their efforts, and I think they played a big part in helping the players along during the second half – especially in the last 15 minutes, when things were really tough for the reason which is obvious because of one less on the pitch.’

Next up for the Hornets is a visit from Kenny Jackett’s Wolves, who come to Vicarage Road on Boxing Day for a televised clash.

‘I said before the game that this was the most important game since I arrived – but now this in the past we must focus on Boxing Day,’ the boss said, going on to add, ‘In England, I know how big a time this is for football. Elsewhere, in other countries, it is a time for rest with the family. Here, it is a time for work!

Before the interview came to a close he said, ‘We are ready for this and we will be ready. I hope all supporters have a very nice Christmas and we will be ready to see them on Boxing Day.’
