At VitalWatford Towers we reckon the Good Ship Boothroyd will be somewhat surprised to hear that Fulham`s striker, and one time Watford target, Collins John has decided to join Leicester City on a 3 month loan.

After all, Sir Aidy pursued the Dutch striker with so much vigour and passion during the Hornets doomed Premiership season that at times we thought the Watford gaffer was chairman of the Collins John Appreciation Society (Hertfordshire Branch).

John rejected a £3m move to the Hornets last season stating his desire to remain in the top flight to increase his chances of a full international cap for Holland but has dropped down the pecking order at Craven Cottage, behind David Healy, Diomansy Kamara and Brian McBride.

Good things come to those that wait huh?
