Former Middlesborough forward Joseph Desire-Job is in pre-season training with the Hornets.

The Cameroon international is currently a free agent after his contract expired at Teeside at the start of the month and is looking for a return to the Premiership following a season-long loan at middle-eastern club Al Ittihad.

“Joseph is training with Watford,” his agent Barry Silkman told skysports.com. “They are assessing his fitness and having a look at him. He is looking to stay in England and is keen to secure a deal.”

The 28-year became a popular figure during his eight years at the Riverside when helping Middlesborough to the club`s first major domestic honour, the 2004 Carling Cup. Job`s scored Boro`s opening goal and won the penalty that helped defeat Bolton Wanderers at the Millennium Stadium.
