Watford reject Moses Ashikodi made a brief cameo appearance at Wembley for Shrewsbury Town on Saturday only to find himself dumped on the footballing scrapheap 48 hours later.

Ashikodi, who was released by the Hornets in February after an injury plagued 2 years at Vicarage Road came off the bench in injury time during the Shrews 1-0 League Two Play-Off Final defeat to Gillingham.

But the frontman`s big day in front of a bumper 53,000+ big crowd must have ended with him taking a wrong turn off Wembley Way as he`s now headed for a summer long search to find a new club after Shrewsbury decided against renewing his contract.

The former Hornet, who chalked up just 3 appearances for Watford after signing from Glasgow Rangers, is one of 7 who the League Two side have released following their Play Off heart-break.
