Watford’s on-loan goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is believed to be on the verge of agreeing a deal to join Ipswich Town this summer.

The Manchester United ‘keeper, 30, is out of contract at the Theatre of Dreams this summer and has made it clear he will not be signing a new deal with the Red Devils.

Having impressed at Vic’ since signing on-loan in February, the Polish international has made the number one jersey his own as well as winning the hearts of Watford fans.

A string of impressive stops at Brighton on Tuesday kept the Hornets in the game whilst superb stops against Derby, Leeds and Hull City have all endeared Kuszczak to the Vicarage Road faithful.

However the small matter of the Pole’s future remains, and Championship rivals Ipswich are believed to be close to securing a deal for the former West Brom and Hertha Berlin gloveman.
