Daniel Pudil has earned his first Czech Republic call-up in nearly two years as a replacement for the injured Ladislav Krejci.

Pudil, 28, had been close to earning a spot in coach Pavel Vrba’s initial squad before winger Krejci was injured.

The Czech Republic host Norway at 17.30 in Prague, with Pudil hoping to add to his 23 full caps.

Elsewhere, Cristian Battocchio is included in Italy Under-21’s squad for their 2015 Under-21 European Championships qualifier in Northern Ireland.

It had originally been reported that the midfielder had been selected for a training camp, but the Italian F.A have listed Battocchio as part of coach Luigi Di Biagio’s squad for this afternoon’s game, which kicks off at 16.00.
