The Hornets midfielder started the game for Noel King’s side and was withdrawn with 16 minutes to play, with the game already won.
Fellow Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Connor Smith was unavailable due to suspension, but could feature against Montenegro on Tuesday.
Also on Friday, Scotland drew 0-0 at home against the United States, with Ikechi Anya an unused substitute.
Scotland now travel to Norway on Tuesday.
Jonathan Bond (England Under-21s) and Cristian Battocchio (Italy Under-21s) are in action on Tuesday too.
