Following today’s clash between West Ham United and Watford, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

West Ham United hosted Watford at the London Stadium for a 3pm kick off on Saturday February 10, with the hosts taking a two nil victory on the day.

Javier Hernandez opened the scoring in the 38th minute of the game, before Marko Arnautovic secured the points with a second strike 12 minutes from full time.

West Ham:

Adrian, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Zabaleta, Noble, Kouyate, Antonio, Joao Mario (Byram 77), Hernandez (Hugill 88), Arnautovic (Rice 84).

Fonte, Hart, Evra, Cullen.

Karnezis, Mariappa, Prodl, Holebas, Janmaat, Capoue, Doucoure, Zeegelaar (Pereyra 56), Deulofeu (Lukebakio Ngandoli 75), Deeney, Richarlison (Gray 82).

Ndong, Carrillo, Bachmann, Mukena.

Speaking to the BBC’s cameras a short time after match day referee Graham Scott blew the final whistle, West Ham manager David Moyes explained.

‘When I took over we were in the relegation zone and I’d have said ‘you’re kidding’ if you’d said we could get into the top 10. It’s great credit to the players. We want to keep improving. There’s not that big a points difference between 11th, 10th and ninth.’

Watford head coach Javi Gracia in his comparative interview explained.

‘We were very soft in the first half and didn’t create many clear chances during the game. The problem today wasn’t a striker who will score. We have Troy Deeney, we have other players. Today we didn’t create clear chances.’
