Watford fans might just get a chance to catch a glimpse of the (er, rather aged) future at Wembley tomorrow after Egypt named rumoured target, Essam El-Hadary, in their travelling party for the friendly clash with England.

The Hornets are widely rumoured to have had an official loan move – worth ?168,000 – for the 37 year old Egyptian goalkeeper turned down by his club, Ismaily, in the January sales only for his club to rule it out as “it offered no financial benefit“?

?well it`s hardly surprising given that ol` Essam was rumoured to be on the verge of a£15m move to Arsenal just under 2 years ago!!!

Still, all eyes, here at VitalWatford, will be on the performance of the first choice stopper just in case he finds WD18 to his liking any time soon.

Indeed, there are still rumblings in the far flung reaches of the footballing world that Watford will re-invigorate their interest in the summer – presumably when England U21 stopper Scott Loach up sticks to the highest bidder (to fill the club coffers)!

Even El-Hadary (who is wanted by Brazilian side Palmeiras and Sudenese giants Merreikh) hasn`t distanced himself from speculation.

Ol` Essam told FilGoal.com “I`m frustrated because the club rejected several offers for me in the January transfer window” – he`s also rumoured to have had a touch of the Williamson`s of late?boycotted training back in Egypt to force a move through.
