Former Middlesbrough trainee Josh Walker has been re-called by Malky Mackay to cover the injury sustained by Stephen McGinn against Queens Park Rangers.

The Hornet’s midfielder has played just 28 minutes of league football this season for the Goldeboys before joining League Two new-boys Stevenage on-loan until January 5th.

However, with former St Mirren man Stephen McGinn sidelined for four to six weeks with a broken cheekbone Walker has a shot at redemption after a disappointing start to life in WD18.

Academy product Ross Jenkins is the other man in contention to replace Scottish U21 cap McGinn.
