Watford have managed to get the Football League to postpone the Danny Graham transfer tribunal set for Monday 27th July as they presumably can`t afford the early flight back from Spain.

The Hornets were due to thrash out a fee with Carlisle after failing to agree a compensation package from the free agent striker, but this has now been postponed due to friendly commitments in the Med.

Watford face little known Spanish outfit UE Lleida in Barcelona on the day of the planned tribunal and it`s clear to see where Malky Mackay`s priorities sit with the Football League told to hold their horses.

Carlisle co-owner Jon Nixon bleated “Obviously it is disappointing now that it has been postponed, but we hope to get a new date fixed sooner rather than later”.

Presumably the £40k that Carlisle will be awarded is desperately needed up at Brunton Park to feed the electric meter.. If not, then why the rush???

Here at VitalWatford, you can almost hear the Vicarage Road moneymen calculating that little extra interest if you listen hard enough?

As a well known supermarket states “every little helps”.
