Nyron Nosworthy will miss a good chunk of the run-in following injury suffered on international duty.

The 32 year-old Jamaican international was substituted during Jamaica’s draw with Panama last Friday after rupturing his Achilles heel.

Having arrived back at the Hornet’s UCL London Colney training HQ on Monday – ahead of schedule – and is now set for surgery on the problem.

Surgery will mean a period on the sidelines for the Brixton-born-bruiser; a blow to Gianfranco Zola’s plans for a promotion push.

Fellow centre-half Neuton is also out for the foreseeable future, having returned to Udine to seek medical advice for a dislocated shoulder.

Tommie Hoban is also sidelined seeking further advice for an ankle problem, whilst John Eustace continues his rehabilitation on a back injury which has ruined his season.

Almen Abdi will be assessed ahead of the Easter fixtures, and the same goes for goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.
