It’s official! Watford actually do have some cash – SkySport News have confirmed that the Hornets have made ‘an undisclosed’ bid for Dons skipper Keith Andrews.

The former Wolves and Hull City central midfielder is in high demand and Watford are not alone in wanting him. Blackburn Rovers were also interested but are yet to make a bid.

New Dons manager, Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed Andrews is ‘transfer listed’ to help resolve his future before their League One campaign kicks off.

A bid of around £1million seems likely for a player who notched 16 goals, promotion and a player of the season accolade from FourFourTwo Magazine. Where this money has come from remains to be seen!

There is as yet no news from either camp regarding the bid.
