According to The Watford Observer, Watford have turned down QPR’s £2.5m for striker Danny Graham.

The news that the West Londoners had bid for the Hornet’s top marksman broke last night via Sky Sports News, but the local paper has been quick to reveal that they believe the bid was re-buffed.

Speaking to BBC 3CR, Graham said of the speculation:

‘There’s going to be speculation, I’d be devastated if there wasn’t.

‘I’m contracted to Watford, I love it here, but I’m not going to lie or kid anyone, I want to play at the top level.

‘If that happens, it happens. If not, and another Championship club comes in, I’m not interested.’ Re-iterated 27-goal Graham.

With the money at Loftus Road these days, it’s surely only a matter of time before a new bid is made by the R’s hierarchy…
