Defender Lee Hodson says he is keen to extend his loan deal with League One Brentford until the end of the season.

Speaking to The Hounslow Chronicle, the Northern Ireland international admitted he would be keen to remain with Uwe Rosler’s Bees.

Hodson has found himself out of favour at Vicarage Road under Gianfranco Zola since the switch from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 and subsequently moved out on-loan to join Brentford in November.

Since arriving at Griffin Park the 21 year-old has made three league and cup starts and a further three appearances as a substitute.

The Official Watford site yesterday confirmed that talks had begun between the Bees and the Hornets over a potential extension, and Hodson has since revealed his desire to remain in North West London:

“I’m enjoying my time here and I’m sure we will have a chat and see what the gaffer wants to do,’ stated Hodson.

“There’s a great bunch of lads and great coaching staff, and if they’re happy to keep me I will consider staying on until the end of the season.’

As soon as there is confirmation of an extension, Vital Watford will bring you the news.
