Bright young thing of the Emirates Stadium, Henri Lansbury, 17, is wanted on-loan by Aidy Boothroyd. The England U19 cap is highly-rated by Arsene Wengar and his coaching staff who would be prepared to let him get first team experience.

The loss of Damien Francis, and his alleged 15k p/week wages have lightened Watford in the midfield area with John Eustace sidelined too and Lansbury could be the perfect addition to challenge O’Toole and co. for a midfield berth.

Former Blades boss Neil Warnock is also keen on the Carling Cup Kid according to various sources.

Lansbury made his Gunners debut in the Carling Cup last season and played in the impressive 6-0 demolition of Sheffield United this year.

On the subject of bright young things, four Watford Kids have committed their future’s to the club.

Hungarian ‘keeper Bo Antal has signed a pro’ deal whilst fullback-cum-centre halve, Rob Kiernan, winger Billy Gibson and the new Ross Jenkins have all signed ‘development’ contracts until 2010.

Good luck lads!
