The Official Watford site has today confirmed that Darius Henderson will not be leaving Vicarage Road.

Earlier in the Summer both Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday had bids accepted for the targetman, but a move never materialized. The club`s official site has now confirmed that Aidy Boothroyd turned down Henderson`s transfer request and also that Fulham`s 1.5million offer for the former Gills striker has been turned down.

Henderson has managed 19 goals in his Watford career so far since signing from Gillingham in 2005. Last term the Doncaster-born forward managed three goals at Tottenham, West Ham and at home to Wigan.

Mr Bodell says:
‘Henderson is evidently not a Premier League forward-just see last seasons tally. Why an Earth would Fulham want him? And why when earlier Aidy was happy to sell, won`t he now?’
