Marlon Harewood was cornered by a group of angry fans as he drove away from West Ham’s calamitous home defeat by Watford.

The striker, whose penalty miss deepened the Hammers’ relegation crisis, was surrounded by around 15 irate supporters venting their frustration 90 minutes after the final whistle.

Alan Curbishley’s flops were booed off amid chants of ‘You’re not fit to wear the shirt’, and other players were subjected to abuse through the railings of the cordoned-off staff car park.

But Harewood was singled out for the lynchmob treatment as he turned left out of Upton Park, into heavy traffic, in his dark convertible saloon.

He was heavily booed during the game after his penalty miss.

West Ham fans, be ashamed, be very ashamed.
