Sizzling prospect, Michael Folivi, has signed a professional deal with the Hornets, after an impressive rise through the academy.

He will be part of the Hornets academy set-up for the remainder of this season, and the pro deal coming into place after his scholarship in 2016/17, with Watford having the option to extend the deal for an extra year.

At just sixteen years old has been the eye catcher out of all the young Golden Boys this season, netting thirty-two goals and assisting twenty-five for the U18s in his first season.

‘I`m absolutely delighted for Michael, who deserves this opportunity to progress even further as a player,’ Chris McGuane said, the Head of Academy with the Hornets.

He went on to add, “Ever since he joined us in the Academy, Michael has worked tremendously hard to develop and improve, and we truly believe in the ability that he`s got.

“The hard work doesn`t stop now for Michael, this is just the beginning of the next stage in his footballing development.

“This is another great example of the pathway that exists from our Academy, and I`d like to thank the many members of staff who have worked with Michael along the way.”

Folivi joins Tommie Hoban, Sean Murray, Connor Smith, George Byers, Jonathan Bond, Bernard Mensah, Lloyd Doyley and Josh Doherty in the current Hornets squad members who came through the ranks.

Congratulations to Michael and Well Done to the Watford hierarchy in securing a long term deal for the promising youngster.
