Head coach Quique Sanchez Flores has said he was delighted with the players and their performance against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, but he still called for more improvement.

With a double penalty save from Heurelho Gomes keeping the clean sheet and all three points on the day for us, Flores said the challenge was there for everyone to impress ahead of the FA Cup game against Crystal Palace, and he also said he didn’t know if 41 points would be enough in the Premier League either.

Speaking to the Guardian in his post game press conference, the gaffer explained that fans could expect changes for West Ham in midweek as well.

‘It`s very difficult. We analyse West Ham, it`s completely different to West Brom, it`s another game and of course away again. It`s very difficult to play against West Ham but trying again to come back to our best feelings, trying to defend well, and to change a lot of players because I promised yesterday before training, I said to the players I think practically all of them are going to play in these two matches.’

With 41 points surely seeing the side safe from any late relegation battle this year following promotion last season, now is the time to get more game time into others and potentially give a few a rest ahead of the final matches as thoughts have to turn to next season, the make up of the squad and further improvements over all.

With that said, and the promise made to the whole team ahead of West Brom, Flores knows as well as staying positive, he can’t just play people for the hell of it, as there are still points to play for and boost the club more this season.

‘I need to know how they look before the weekend. But it`s difficult because I am not sure it (41 points) is enough or not, but what is important is that we keep positive. We need to improve, we can improve, we have to play five matches more in the Premier League and the semi-final and it is important to win.’
