Sean Dyche was a happy man yesterday as he addressed the assembled press, praising his side who ended the month unbeaten with three straight wins.

The Hornets, who are now up to 11th, overcame Neil Warnock’s Leeds United 2-0 thanks to a brace from the much-maligned Chris Iwelumo.

The big Scot struck after just five minutes with a powerful shot and completed the win a minute from time with a close-range effort.

Speaking afterwords to the Official Site, Dyche said:

‘We looked a real threat today.

And to do that, we knew we’d have to combat the competitive nature that sides managed by Neil Warnock always have.’

The gaffer continued by praising his two-goal striker:

‘He is the consummate professional.

‘Chris is a very positive influence and today he got a personal reward for his performances over the last three or four weeks, which I feel have been excellent.’

Watford begin their Easter programme at home to Blackpool on Good Friday before heading to Cardiff on Monday.
