Sean Dyche has revealed that Watford are in talks to extend Michael Kightly’s loan deal.

The Wolves wideman has only featured three times for the Hornet’s after being injured on his second start for the club.

Kightly’s loan deal is up soon, but Dyche has told the Watford Observer that the two clubs are already in talks to extend that initial deal:

‘We are talking to Wolves as we speak.

‘He really likes it here and is enjoying his time here and obviously he wants to play more because that is what he came here to do.

‘I have spoken to Mick (McCarthy, Wolves manager) and he is happy with what we are doing here so we are trying to extend the loan.’

Kightly has undoubted quality for me and would comfortably be the best winger in the squad.

With only Mark Yeates and Craig Forsyth as true wingers in the squad without Kightly, the former Tottenham trainee would add much needed quality on the ball and competition for places.
