b>Sean Dyche’s terrific debut managerial camapaign landed him a place on the shortlist for the LMA ‘Manager of the Year’ award for the Championship.

Dyche, in his first season as Hornet’s boss, guided the Goldenboys to an extremely respectable 11th place finish – the club’s highest for four years.

And, Dyche’s achievement has finally received some of the recognition it deserves with this nomination.

The League Manager’s Association eventually voted Reading boss Brian McDermott as their Championship Manager of the Season.

Speaking to The Official Site following the announcement, Dyche said:

‘Awards are generally given to individuals in football and it was certainly pleasing to be nominated – although it is a reflection of the hard work put in by the players and staff at Watford.

‘It’s nice that fellow managers in this division feel the job we’ve done here this season is worthy of their vote.’

Congratulations on the recognition Sean!
