Dyche after more signings

Despite making nine signings so far this summer, Sean Dyche is chasing at least one more player, according to the Watford Observer

The W.O believe that said player will be a striker on a permanent basis, though this is nothing more than what they ‘believe’.

Talking about more potential signings, Dyche himself said:

“We are still trying [to bring players in]. We want that demand on the group from the players – and it is nothing to do with how much we believe in the players we have already got.

‘Also you can change games from the bench. We believe in our young players and we know some of them need football on loan because they need to develop further before they will be ready to play against a team like Birmingham who have Premier League players.’

With the bulk of the money from Laurence Bassini’s increased transfer pot spend on bringing Andi Weimann and Jonathan Hogg to the club, any signing would likely be from the lower leagues or the reserves of a Premier League side once more.

The need for a winger is apparent, with Mark Yeates flattering to deceive on multiple occasions yesterday and Craig Forsyth only ever looking dangerous once Watford had switched to 4-3-3, with the Scot playing more centrally.
