Fan’s favourite Jay DeMerit joined up with his Glory Hornet teammates on tour in Germany yesterday, having been away on international duty with the US National squad.
The Green Bay born centre-half will be keen to get back into Adie Boothroyd’s plans having spent the summer in CONCACAF Gold Cup and Copa America action.
DeMerit was given extra time off to rest ahead of the new season after making his CONCACAF debut in a 2-0 win against Trinidad as well as a warm up victory against China.
It was a summer of mixed fortunes for DeMerit though after he was in the starting eleven that suffered Copa America group stage defeats to Argentina and Paraguay.
