With Troy Deeney having his say on the many rumours and figures being bandied around, along with talk of a new deal from Watford given Leicester’s reported interest in him…
Well it’s very much the case of a new week and time for the media to rehash and try and find something new to pin on the speculation to update it.
And it seems it hangs on the supposed new deal the club have offered our skipper.
Despite being contracted to 2020, it’s now being reported – no quotes – that Deeney has rejected that new offer and whilst he understands Watford are under no pressure to sell, he’d quite like the move to the reigning Premier League Champions so he could experience Champions League football next term.
It’s said that Leicester continue to try and negotiate, but Walsall’s 25% sell on clause is a sticking point in the deal, and again figures of £20million are being quoted – despite us being up to £35million only a the other week.
Basically I still think nobody knows anything, so I’ll again leave the last word with Deeney himself.
Funny how a couple of days ago I had left for 30 million and today I’m signing a new contract if you don’t know nothing keep quiet thanks 😘
