Troy Deeney and Tom Cleverley have been reflecting on Watford’s victory over Arsenal this weekend.

Hosting the side at Vicarge Road, they took the first half lead but goals from Deeney and Tom Cleverley returned all three points and Deeney couldn’t have been more delighted with the win.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media following the game, he was also extremely quick to praise match winner Cleverley as he felt he got his just rewards for his performances of late and it was of course his first Watford goal since Sheffield Wednesday back in 2010.

‘Tom has been our best player by a mile. Doucoure has got all the credit for scoring but Tom has been different class. I’m absolutely buzzing for him to get that goal.’

With Silva saying himself post game that a change of attitude had been needed at the half time break, Cleverley went on to credit the gaffer by saying.

‘The manager said we needed to play with more belief and we did that. The first task was to make sure we didn’t lose it but Troy came on and changed things.’

Deeney himself added.

‘Massive credit to the manager. Some would call it a half-time teamtalk but I’d call it more of a roasting. He really got into people.’

Adding.

‘It’s been a great start to the season. We’ve got a great bunch and we are building something really good. We had a last-minute winner at Swansea, a last-minute equaliser at West Brom and now this. We’ve got great belief and it shows we keep going and how fit we are. The lads off the bench are making a big difference; it’s a massive team effort.’

Cleverley also agreed with the suggestion that something good was being built at the club under Silva.

‘I really feel we are building something here. Why not go and beat Chelsea next week. We go there with confidence.’
