Troy Deeney has accepted the Football Association charge for violent conduct following the Watford v Stoke City clash at the weekend.

In the one nil defeat at Vicarage Road on October 28, our skipper was caught up in a set of handbags with Joe Allen and he received a yellow card following the incident.

After investigations, the match day referee’s report indicated that he had not seen the full extent of the incident, and the disciplinary panel have now banned him for the next three games.

He therefore misses Everton, West Ham and Newcastle United but comes back into contention for the Manchester United tie.

An FA statement read:

‘The misconduct was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on video.’
