Hornet’s all-action midfidler Don Cowie has retained his place in George Burley’s Scotland friend for the Scots friendly against Wales next week.

Cowie only one his first cap with for Burley’s side last month against Japan but will have a chance to double his tally in this home nations friendly.

‘Keeper Scott Loach and Manchester United loanee Tom Cleverley have both earnt England U21 callups once again to face Portugal at Wembley on November 14th.

Another loanee in Heidar Helguson will be in action for Iceland’s double header with Luxembourgh and Iran.

Finally the Northern Irish U21 side have called up loanee Craig Cathcart and fullback Leee Hodson for their games with the Germans and the Czech Republic. Harrow-born Irishaman Michael Bryan is on standbay.

Young gun Kurtney Brooks who featured in the League Cup at Barnet featured in Wales U19’s defeat at the hands of Portugal.
