Ah, what better way to see in an International weekend is there than to enjoy a good ol’ belly laugh at the unfortunate misdemeanours of our fiends just up the Motorway at The Kennel.

Those lovely people at the FA have bought us this bombshell that:

More than 50 disciplinary charges are to be brought against Luton, former and current club officials and six agents alleging breach of regulations regarding payments to agents.

Luton Town have been charged with allegedly making payments to agents through another company rather than the club, as required by FA rules.

Current directors of Luton Town have also been charged with providing misleading information to the FA and failing to inform the FA of findings in relation to an investigation into these rule breaches.

Former chairman of Luton Town has been charged on 15 counts of breaching FA rules regarding payments to agents.

It is also alleged that Luton Town officials dealt directly with 2 unlicensed agents to secure the services of players and negotiated with a further 2 unlicensed agents on further player transactions.

A final charge related to monies, believed to a sum of £7,000, paid to cover the services of a player but were not disclosed on his contract – which once again represents a breach of, you`ve guessed it, FA rules.

If you stop yourself from laughing for just 1 second, The FA`s official statement on this oh so heart wrenching matter said: ‘It is alleged that in a number of player transfers, loan deals and contract renegotiations between 2004 and 2007, payments were made to the six agents for their services directly from Luton Town’s holding company, Jayten Stadium Limited.

It goes on to say : “These payments, totalling around £160,000, were not disclosed to the FA on the required disclosure forms, representing a breach of FA Rules.”

The charges follow an FA investigation after former Luton manager Mike Newell claimed in early 2006 that illegal payments in the game were rife.

Luton have until November 30 to respond to the charges.

Here at VitalWatford, we can`t wait to hear just how them up the M1 are gonna dig themselves out of this one?

All we can say is…Good work Mike Newell. Good Work.
