Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has confirmed that he`d love to reunite former Hornets strike duo Darius Henderson and Marlon King to spearhead the Bluebirds 2008-2009 campaign?but simply can`t afford them.

Jones confirmed the Bluebirds had submitted bids for both players but insisted “We made a bid for Henderson but the price went to high. We are also keen on Marlon King but we simply cannot afford the fee and his premiership-level wages”.

Hendo is currently the subject of an accepted £2.5m bid from Sheffield United if you believe everything you hear on Sky Sports with Wolves and Birmingham also interested whilst £40k a week King is a target for Premiership new boys Hull and Derby County.

The thought that Watford really are looking to offload Hendo to a Championship rival scares the life out of us here at VitalWatford!!!
