I’m actually surprised such a transfer hasn’t been speculated already, unless I’ve missed it? Which I probably have.

But, the weekend saw the Sun report a Marco Silva interest in his former Hull full back Andy Robertson.

With Burnley and Hull unable to agree a deal on how an £8m fee for ex-Dundee United left back Robertson would be paid, Watford, under his former boss Marco Silva, could secure the Scotland international.

According to the Sun, the Scot is keen on a switch to Burnley but the ‘bickering’ over the terms of the transfer, along with Sean Dyche showing interest in Leeds’ Charlie Taylor too, has ‘planted seeds of doubt in the mind’ of Robertson.

Silva wasn’t prepared to sanction the KCOM Stadium exit of Robertson when in charge at Hull, when Burnley first showed an interest, and had been impressed by the attack minded fullback so is ‘ready to pounce’ for him after making Will Hughes his first signing last week.

The same reports also said the Hornets are looking to bring Austrian U21 goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann to Vicarage Road, a free agent following his release by Stoke.
